APPEAL FOR THE CHILDREN OF OUR KEY WORKERS

AND OTHER VULNERABLE CHILDREN

On 19 March 2020, the UK Government directed schools to continue to provide care for children whose parents are essential care workers and other vulnerable children.

Jointly funded by you and us, we would like to support our teachers on the front line to put a smile on these children’s faces, by donating fun-filled and educational science activity boxes to schools and inspiring their scientific curiosity.

Please help us brighten up their day!

For every 4 boxes covered by your donations, Little Scientist Club will donate a 5th box.

More information:

On 19 March 2020, the UK Government asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to continue to provide care for a limited number of children - children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.

There is no doubt that, on some level, our vulnerable children are aware of the current danger we are in. Even those who do not understand the detail of what is happening, are having to endure the drastic and rapid changes that are taking place around them.

Despite being a small local business, we would like to do what we can to put a smile on these children’s faces, and take their mind off the current pandemic, by inspiring their scientific curiosity through fun, practical and educational science activities, funded by you, by us, by our nation.

By donating to our fund, we will work around the clock to send out as many science activity boxes as possible, to the vulnerable children that are being cared for by our teachers on the front line.

Your entire donation will go towards the supply of equipment these children will need to carry out a range of practical science-based activities. In addition to this, the children will each receive colourful instruction sheets and fun worksheets based on the science behind each activity.

We will engage with the schools and other childcare providers, who are caring for these vulnerable children, to ensure we can deliver your science activity boxesto as many children as possible.

In addition to your donation, we urge you to raise the awareness of this initiative in your local schools and encourage people around you to make a donation.

Please feel free to spread the word through as many social media platforms as you can.

Let’s put a smile on these children’s faces through a worthwhile and educational distraction!

Thank you for your support.
