In addition to learning about science and STEM, the course teaches Little Scientists that every experiment is composed of steps they need to follow in order to achieve the intended result.

Throughout the course, Little Scientists carry out a range of exciting STEM-based activities and fun experiments, that aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 National Curriculum, including:

  • An introduction to the three branches of science

  • Exploring the properties of dry ice

  • Water filtration in action

  • The importance of bones

  • Frictional effects of materials

  • Kinetic sand

  • Reptiles and life cycles

  • Electrical circuits

  • Gravity

Summer course

3 - 7

The course will inspire the curiosity of Little Scientists as they:

  • become familiar with identifying, choosing and using the correct equipment for the science tasks at hand

  • distinguish to which branch of science particular activities/experiments relate

  • develop their ability to describe their observations, explain why things happen and how things work

  • begin to make informed predictions

  • start to integrate biological, chemical, physical and STEM concepts to develop an awareness of complexity in the world around us

All sessions encourage curiosity and critical thinking as well as enhancing their understanding of the world around them.

Price:      £200
