Beginner Course
at St. Augustine's CE Primary School
In addition to learning about science and STEM, the course teaches Little Scientists that every experiment is composed of steps they need to follow in order to achieve the intended result.

Throughout the course, Little Scientists carry out a range of exciting STEM-based activities and fun experiments, that aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 National Curriculum, including:

an introduction to the three branches of science

understanding how flowers work

air pressure effects

learning about the brain, heart, lungs & stomach

having fun with chemical reactions

push and pull forces

exploring light
-
liquids and absorption
-
colour mixing and separation

All sessions encourage curiosity and critical thinking as well as enhancing their understanding of the world around them.
